ESF Promotion
Pursuant to the Council Regulation 1159/2000/EC, each project provider is obliged to inform the recipients of its activities that the project is co-financed from the European Union funds. It should also be evident to all other persons who come in contact with the project. Therefore, the project should be adequately “marked”.
How should co-financing by ESF be described and marked? The Regulation 1159/2000/EC stipulates that in describing ESF tasks the following wording should be used in the description of the European Social Fund:
“Helping develop employment by promoting employability, the business spirit and equal opportunities and investing in human resources”.
It should appear each time a project provider describes (e.g. in an official letter, information material) the fund it uses.
The Regulation also stipulates how the projects should be marked. In the case of the ESF, this will primarily include marking rooms in which the projects are implemented (so that it is spotted by every coming person), marking the equipment purchased under the project, publications, and documents. The EU’s and ESF’s contribution is indicated by the ESF logo.
The logo and/or notice of the EU’s contribution should be placed:
- on posters;
- in publications (booklets, newsletters, leaflets) –a clear indication of the EU’s participation in the project, the fund’s logo and the EU emblem shall be contained on the title page;
- on diplomas and certificates;
- on websites and audio-visual materials – apart from the information about the EU’s participation in the project and the fund’s logo, the EU emblem they should contain hyperlinks to the websites: www.efs.gov.pl and www.europa.eu.int ;
- during information events (fairs, exhibitions, shows, conferences, seminars) – the EU’s contribution should be indicated by displaying the European flags and the EU emblem, and also the fund’s logo.
