Preparing an application
Before applying for support under the SOP ICE, the applicant should:
- Identify a problem/need as a reason for seeking support.
- Identify the PROGRAMME measure whose assumptions and aims correspond to the need for assistance and adjust the project accordingly
- Meet the „entry criteria”; check whether:
- The potential project provider falls under the definition of BENEFICIARY and is eligible for support.
- The project provider operates outside the sectors that do not qualify for support (sectors considered as sensitive: the agricultural production sector – products of the soil, of stockfarming and of fisheries and products of first-stage processing related to these products, as specified in Annex I of the EC Treaty and the List of economic activities related to food products qualifying for support under the SOP ICE and SOP – Agriculture)
- The criteria relevant for a specific SOP ICE measure are met.
- The project’s costs constitute eligible expenditure in accordance with Annex 9 to the Programme Complement (Principles of eligibility of expenditure)
- The administrative and legal questions necessary for the implementation of the project have been settled.
- Prepare the project’s outline in the form of a BUSINESS PLAN.
- Start preparing and completing all the necessary enclosures. It should be noted that some measures involve certain additional requirements, such as the requirement under measure 2.3 that for grants in excess of PLN 125,000 a bank credit covering at least 25% of the grant should be drawn, and a credit promissory note should be submitted to the Regional Financing Institution together with the application for support.
- Start completing the application form. This should be the final stage in preparing an application. The applicant should follow the project’s outline as specified in the business plan while completing the relevant sections of the application form.
